Hosea 6:1-3; John 21:20-25
The prophet Hosea proclaims that the favor and release sought by those in distress would come on the third day when God’s grace rose to bring the power and promise of new life. So, too, on that first Day of Pentecost, God’s power and promise descended as tongues of fire to create the Church and a blazing new way for all people to know the love of God in Jesus, the Risen Lord.
