Liz Bonner
Liz was born and raised in Wayne, N.J. She received a degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education from Trenton State College. (The College of New Jersey). She taught first grade at Liberty Corner Elementary School and Lafayette Elementary School in New Jersey. She, and her husband Paul, and son Patrick moved to Syracuse NY when Paul’s job took him there. It is here that son Sean was born. 3 years later, Paul’s job brought them to Lansdale PA where they started attending Lansdale United Methodist Church. Sons Jamie and Ian were born here. Liz has been involved in church and Sunday school since she was able to sing “Jesus Loves Me” at 18 months. When Ian was 2, Liz began teaching at the North Penn YMCA. It was then that Nancy Morgan, director of Bright Beginnings, and teacher for Patrick, Sean and Jamie, was planning on retiring and asked Liz to take over in September 2000. Liz later stepped up and became Christian Education Director also. Liz plays the piano and guitar and was the Cherub Choir director for many years and also sang in the Choir. Liz’s favorite part of her job is leading Vacation Bible School and the music for VBS. It’s obvious to Liz that God had a plan in her life and has led her on this path of teaching and leading young children to Jesus. What a wonderful adventure it has been!
